Player Information

 

Host Professional:             Marshall Stott

 

Format:                                  36-hole stroke play

 

Practice round:                   A practice round will be available at Sapona CC on August 9th after 12:00 pm at a rate of $20. 

                                                Contestants must call the golf shop to schedule a practice round starting time. 

                                                Please identify yourself as a TYGA Tour Championship contestant when calling. 

 

Starting times:                    Starting times will be available through the CGA office and/or the tyga.org web site on August 7, 2010.

 

Yardages:                             Boys' 14-18 Yardage:  6,620 yards, par 72 (Blue tees)

                                                Girls' 14-18 & Boys' 12-13 Yardage:  5,750 yards, par 72 (White tees)

                                                Girls' 12-13 & 11 and Under Yardage: 4,765 yards, par 72 (Red tees)

                                               

Prizes:                                   Trophies will be awarded to the overall champions and the top players in each division.

Caddies:                                Players must walk at all times, but may use a caddy.  Caddy must be 18 years of age or younger, no exceptions. 

                                                Caddies must walk at all times as well.

 

Measuring devices:           Measuring devices that measure distance only may be used during the championship.

 

 

Spectator carts:                 Spectator carts will be available to rent at a rate of $20 per cart.  Carts must remain on paths at all times.

Hotel:                                     The Holiday Inn Express in Lexington is offering a discounted nightly rate of $69 (plus tax). 

                                                Please call the hotel direct at 336-224-6730 and inform hotel you are with the TYGA Tour Championship. 

                                                Reservations must be made by August 1, 2010 to receive discounted rate.

 

Dress code:                         Hats/visors must be worn with brim forward, males must remove hat/visor while indoors.

Collared shirts or mock turtlenecks must be worn and tucked in at all times.

Shorts must be no more than 5” above the knee.

 

 

Parent policy:                      Parents are encouraged to follow their child.  We do ask that all parents remain on the cart path (roughs in no cart paths),

                                                unless assisting with the search for a ball.

 

Withdraws:                          If you cannot compete in this championship, you must withdraw from the event by contacting the CGA office at

                                                910-673-1000 prior to round 1.  If you do not withdraw properly, you are considered a "no show" and you may be suspended

                                                from CGA events for 1 year.
