Final Results

Badin, NC—Ravenscroft School of Raleigh, NC captured the 9^th NC Middle School Championship finishing with a two day total of four over par 288 at Badin Inn GC in Badin, NC. Ravenscroft went into the final round tied with Norwayne Middle of Freemont, NC, but finished two shots ahead of Norwayne’s total of 290. Finishing in third place was the Cannon School of Concord, NC who had a two day total of 292. Defending champion West Pine Middle of Pinehurst, NC finished in fourth place with a total of 294.

In the individual championships, both defending champions successfully defended their titles. Isabella Rusher of Salisbury Academy in Salisbury, NC captured her second title by eleven shots, finishing with a two day total of 150. Catherine Ashworth of Davis Lake Middle in Apex, NC finished in second place with a two day total of 161. Tied for third place at 163 were Grace Yatawara of Salisbury Academy and Nicolette Donovan of Davis Drive Middle in Cary, NC.

Joshua Martin of West Pine Middle in Pinehurst, NC repeated as the boys’ champion finishing nine shots ahead of the nearest competitor. Martin shot a six under par 65 on Saturday and finished with a two day total 134, eight under par. Harrison Rhoades of Ravenscroft School in Raleigh finished in second place at one over par 143.

This annual junior championship is conducted by the Tarheel Youth Golf Association, a division of the Carolinas Golf Association.
