Briele and Miles Capture Jimmy
Anderson Junior Invitational Titles
Tatum Briele (pictured with Jimmy
Anderson) of New Bern came from
behind to capture the girls'
division in the Jimmy Anderson
Junior Invitational at Jacksonville
CC in Jacksonville, NC. Briele, a
high school senior who will play
collegiate golf for Coastal
Carolina, shot a three over par 75
to win by one shot over first round
leader Jessica Hook of Wilmington,
NC. Jonathan Miles (pictured with
Jimmy Anderson) of Wilmington, NC
won the boys' overall with a two day
total of 148. Finishing in second
place shots back was Andrew Decker
of Greenville, NC who stormed back
in to contention after a second
round five under par 67. This
junior tournament is conducted by
the junior golf alumni of
Jacksonville CC to honor Jimmy
Anderson's dedication to junior
golf.
